What is a phrase?

Setelah belajar tentang Part of Speech, hal selanjutnya yang perlu diketahui adalah pembentukan frasa (phrase). Phrases adalah sekelompok kata yang merupakan bagian dari sebuah klausa. Eits, tapi kelompok kata ini belum memiliki struktur subject + verb ya.

Contohnya: a beautiful dress

Frasa “a beautiful dress” adalah sebuah contoh Noun Phrase karena dalam kalimat fungsinya sebagai Noun (dapat sebagai Subjek/Objek).

Ada banyak jenis frasa, yaitu:

My tall brother likes to play basketball.
